Co-founded in 2021 by Chioma “Chi” Nwafor and his partner in life and work, Dr. Toyin Nwafor, tfal&chi brings together medical expertise and lifestyle-based wellness to support sustainable, whole-person health. Led by a board certified physician and a Harvard trained wellness coach—and united as a husband-and-wife team—our practice bridges medicine, movement, metabolic health and mindset, creating a uniquely integrated wellness experience rooted in both clinical expertise and lived practice. Our programs are designed to complement clinical care, strengthen workplace wellness, and empower communities through education, accountability, and connection.

Meet Coach Tfal

Dr. Toyin “Tfal” Nwafor, MD is a physician, author, wellness coach, speaker, and co-founder of tfal&chi. Her background in clinical and preventative medicine allows her to translate medical science into practical, sustainable lifestyle strategies. With more than 20 years of practicing medicine as board-certified physician, she is uniquely qualified to provide evidence-based guidance to tfal&chi’s clients, helping them gain a real understanding of how each action they take in nutrition, movement, sleep and stress management works within their body, and helping them navigate  the sea of breakthroughs, revisions, trends and fads that comprises the world of wellness.

Tfal is currently also a pharma executive and leader of multiple healthcare initiatives, and understands the challenges high-performers face in balancing career growth with personal growth and health. As a leader and educator with more than 85 publication authorships, she is able to provide a truly science-first education to clients, empowering them not only to do more but also know more when it comes to investing in their health.

As a literary author, podcaster, and public speaker, she brings a unique perspective to helping women build confidence as leaders, find their voice, and see the two-way integration of physical and emotional wellbeing. 

Married to her co-founder, Chi Nwafor, Dr. Nwafor bridges medicine, movement, and mindset to empower individuals, organizations, and communities to achieve lasting health outcomes.

Meet Coach Chi

Chioma “Chi” Nwafor is a multidisciplinary leader whose work sits at the intersection of technology, mental health, performance coaching, and whole-person wellness. Harvard University–trained, Chi brings a rigorous, evidence-based mindset to helping individuals and organizations build sustainable habits that drive both personal wellbeing and professional excellence.

As a tech executive, Chi has led and advised organizations through digital transformation, innovation strategy, and leadership development—experience that uniquely informs his approach to wellness in high-pressure, high-performance environments. He understands the realities of executive stress, burnout, and cognitive overload, and designs wellness solutions that are practical, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals.

Chi is also a licensed psychotherapist, grounding his work in behavioral science, emotional intelligence, and clinically informed frameworks. This dual lens allows him to address not only physical health, but also mindset, stress regulation, motivation, and sustainable behavior change—the true drivers of long-term health outcomes.

Chi is also an author and podcaster, using education and storytelling to translate complex topics around health, leadership, and personal growth into clear, actionable insights.
